We started in Tanzania and Zanzibar because we know it. We’ve walked the neighbourhoods, spoken to the local people, and asked the questions that matter. We know the difference between the mainland and the island — the pace, the warmth, the things that don’t make it into the brochures.
We’re going next to Botswana and Burkina Faso — but only once we’ve spent real time there and can say honestly: yes, we would live here. That’s the only standard we hold ourselves to.
